Moor, Quinn, Loffredo, Henderson, Campbell win according to unofficial results
One Asbury wins majority, A-Team says over 300 votes not counted
A mix of candidates from the One Asbury and Forward Asbury Park city council tickets have won the election, according to unofficial results from the Monmouth County Board of Elections.
The One Asbury slate has won a majority on the council. The winning One Asbury candidates were Myra Campbell, John Moor and Amy Quinn [shown above on election night].
John Moor came in first place, securing 699 votes. Amy Quinn was in second place with 693.
Incumbents John Loffredo and Sue Henderson [pictured at right] renewed their terms with 640 and 608 votes, respectively, while Myra L. Campbell has secured 598 votes.
However, a legal challenge looks in store as candidate Jim Keady says over 300 vote by mail ballots were not counted. Officials at the Monmouth County Board of Elections were not able to be reached for comment late Tuesday night.
The sixth place candidate was incumbent Kevin Sanders with 574 votes. Twenty two candidates were on the ballot.
The A-Team ticket’s high vote getter was Keady, a former councilman, with 409 votes followed by Duanne Small with 405. A-Team candidates Remond Palmer received 381 votes, Nora Hyland received 359 and Daniel Harris received 388.
These numbers do not account for provisional ballots, or votes cast by those whose eligibility to vote is unclear. The amount of provisional ballots cast should be available later tonight, but the votes likely will not be tabulated for several days.
