Outdoor Theater returns with Days Remembered
Broadway Musical Review Celebrates Building’s 140th Anniversary
Paying homage to it 1876 home, the Starving Artist and Days Ice Cream shop owner Arnold Teixiera has put together a Broadway Musical Review entitled Teixeira and the girls of Days Remembered.
This year, the annual summer theater, held on Days’ porch, includes this introductory collection of songs to celebrate the historic structure on Pitman Avenue in Ocean Grove.
“This year’s offering is a collection of songs to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the building,” Teixiera said. “We’ll be celebrating this anniversary with several events throughout the summer.”
Days Remembered will feature a collection of songs from Annie, Gypsy, South Pacific, and Kinky Boots, Teixiera said.
The show was conceived and will be directed by Nick Montesano, with musical direction is by Jeff Brown. The cast includes Aurora Jai Brunette, Bryan Vitalo, Jessica Berger Vitallo, Heather McLaughlin, Amanda Munice, Casey Grady Surgent, Nick Montesano, and Teixeira.
Performances kick off 7:30 p.m. June 30 and run Thursday to Friday through July 9, rain or shine. The $20 general admission tickets are available at the Starving Artist, 48 Pitman Avenue in Ocean Grove, or by calling 732-988-1007.
