The sun came out, the fences came down
Majority of boardwalk now open; link to more photos below
Work that began during the weekend to reopen most of the Asbury Park boardwalk was completed Tuesday.
All of the fencing on Ocean Avenue has been removed, as well as the fences blocking access points to the boardwalk between Convention Hall and the Casino.
There are two construction repair zones that remain — one north of the Casino behind the First Avenue pavilion and another smaller one on the south side of Convention Hall. Work in both sections is scheduled to be completed by May 18, according to city officials.

Almost all of the restaurants on the boardwalk have reopened for business, including Stella Marina, Cubacan, Watermark, and McLoone’s Asbury Grille and Supper Club. Langosta Lounge remains closed for repairs.
The boardwalk north of Convention Hall was relatively undamaged by the hurricane and opened within a month after the storm.
