The third annual city-wide yard sale takes place in Asbury Park on Saturday, with forty two locations throughout the city offering their wares from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Participants will donate 10 percent of their sales to two animal rescue organizations, Wag on In and Rescue Ridge, according the event organizer Sonja O’Brien. Donations of bed sheets, dog or cat treats and dog or cat toys can be dropped off for the two organizations during the yard sale hours at 1104 Fifth Avenue, O’Brien said.

“It’s a great day for all of us to meet our neighbors and also to showcase Asbury Park,” O’Brien said. “And it gives residents who care about animals the chance to help out to meet a need that needs to be met more than ever.”
