From May 9 to 14, the Asbury Park Police Department made the following arrests:
MAY 9
• A 35-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with child abuse or neglect and unlawful possession of weapons at police headquarters.
• A 23-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with resisting arrest in the 1200 block of Bond Street.
• A 26-year-old male from Neptune was arrested and charged with defiant trespassing in the 1500 block of Steiner Place.
MAY 10
• A 30-year-old male from New Brunswick was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs [DUI] at the intersection of Second and Grand avenues.
• A 48-year-old male from Neptune was arrested and charged with theft.
• A 24-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances [CDS], possession of CDS with intent to distribute, CDS distribution near school property and conspiracy at police headquarters.
MAY 11
• A 23-year-old male from Colonia was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice.
MAY 13
• A 34-year-old female from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with credit card theft.
• A 33-year-old female from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of weapons, aggravated assault and child abuse or neglect.
MAY 14
• A 37-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with simple assault at Asbury Village.
• A 22-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with eluding a police officer and obstruction of justice in the 600 block of Fifth Avenue.
