First ‘Vibe in the streets’ cancelled tonight
Next event will take place on Thursday, June 13
The inaugural “Vibe in the Streets” event on Cookman Avenue has been cancelled tonight due to the forecast for inclement weather.
The street party, sponsored by the ApVibe marketing initiative, is scheduled for every Thursday in June from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Organizers also included a rain date in July for any cancellations, such as the one tonight.
The next scheduled “Vibe in the Streets” will take place on Thursday, June 13.
The Sun received the following statement from APVibe organizer Morgan Sackman:
We’re very sad to announce that the first VIBE in the streets event will be postponed until a decided date in July because of weather conditions. This decision was made after much thought and conversation with both participating vendors/entertainment as well as perspective event attendees. The chance of rain is risky for our-door painting, live music and food service.
The good news is that it gives us more time to promote and prepare for next weeks festivities! Please get the word out any way you can. Thanks for your support!
