Narcotics raid on Langford St. leads to four arrests
Police armed with warrant forced entry into apartment
Police with a search warrant forced their way into a Langford Street apartment Friday morning in an incident that led to the arrest of four suspects on drug-related charges, according to a press release from the Asbury Park Police Department.
The Asbury Park Police Department’s Street Crime Unit, assisted by the department’s Detective Bureau and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, executed the warrant at 1309 Langford St. at approximately 10:30 a.m., said Asbury Park Det. Lt. David DeSane. The site is on the block between Sunset and Fifth avenues.
As the raid team approached the building, officers observed two men attempting to flee the residence, DeSane said. After a brief foot pursuit, officers arrested Frederick Manns, 40, Asbury Park and John Johnson, 41, Neptune, he said.
The remaining officers then “forced entry to the target location” and encountered Ivonne Robinson, 37, Asbury Park, and Francia Younger, 35, Neptune, DeSane said.
All subjects were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance [heroin / crack cocaine] and possession of drug paraphernalia, said DeSane.
The subjects were transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute, Freehold, in lieu of $50,000.00 bail without a 10 percent option, he said. Johnson was also found to have a “No Bail” controlled dangerous substance distribution warrant out of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, DeSane said.
