The runner entered Asbury Park over the Norwood Avenue Bridge on Route 71 by crossing over Deal Lake Drive onto Park Avenue, about a quarter mile past the 17 mile marker. The race course then heads around Sunset Lake to the boardwalk, south through part of Ocean Grove and then back up the Asbury boardwalk heading north.
Runners leave Asbury into Loch Arbour on Ocean Avenue heading back to the finish line in Long Branch.
