APPD respond to 911 call, find Neptune man laying in street

Man was transported to area hospital, pronounced dead

Authorities say a Neptune man found in the middle of an Asbury Park street has been pronounced dead. The cause of his death is still unknown.

At 3:59 a.m. Asbury Park Police received an emergency call alerting them to an address on Church Street, according to Charles Webster, public information officer for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police responded and found 24-year-old Brandon M. Brown of Eleventh Ave. in Neptune laying in the middle of the road in front of 607 Church St., Webster said.

He was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 4:39 a.m., Webster said.

The nature of Brown’s injuries and details of the 911 call are unknown at this time, he said.
