In an effort to recruit children to the preschool program, Care on the Square will open its doors to the public Thursday so area families can have a look at the center’s daily activities.

The early child learning center will host an open house all day Thursday with prizes, giveaways and goodies for kids. Community partners will be on-site and 94.3 The Point radio station will host a live broadcast from 10 a.m to noon, according to Melissa Ferrari, the school’s family outreach worker.

Care on the Square offers year-round services for children between 6 weeks old and 5 years of age and offers a free preschool program to 3- and 4-year-old children that live in Asbury Park. Students are served breakfast, lunch and a snack daily. All of their staff are First Aid and CPR certified, and every class is assigned at least one person who has earned a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, according to their Facebook page.

The school’s mission is to provide an environment where children and their families are safe, enriched, and empowered; to build self esteem, stimulate creativity and promote self-sufficiency; build school-to-family partnerships; and nurture learning in a loving, caring, and fun environment.

Care on the Square is located at 101 Press Plaza.

For more information about the event, contact Melissa Ferrari at 732.502.8333.
