Education committee meeting takes place Tuesday
Community members invited to attend, child care will be provided
The Asbury Park unit of the Statewide Education Organizing Committee [SEOC] is scheduled to meet Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m, according to a post on the Nextdoor social media website.
The SEOC [formerly the Parent Listening Project] is a group of concerned parents, grandparents, community members and neighbors who work together to bring about a better educational environment for the children in their respective districts.
Discussions about vocational education in the high school, how to better implement the district’s anti-bullying policies, and the monitoring of children at the Barack Obama School gym as they await bus or parent pick-up are on the agenda, as well as any other educational concerns those in attendance may have, the post states.
Child care and light refreshments will be provided.
The meeting takes place at the Ballard United Methodist Church, located at 1515 Fourth Ave.
