Cowerks announces first of 2014 Saturday workshops
Topics include creating an Etsy shop, better engagement via Twitter
On January 25, Cowerks shared meeting space will host the first of their Saturday workshops of the new year, according to a company news release.
The four introductory workshops are: How to use Twitter to make an impact for your business, Getting started with square space, Successful selling techniques for Etsy, and Email marketing with MailChimp.
Jessica Ann of Jessica Ann Media, a boutique digital agency that humanizes businesses with creative copy and smart social media strategy, will teach the Twitter workshop. The two-hour course will cover how to listen, engage, and connect with customers so that the business can make more money while owners find more freedom to run their businesses.
Getting started with Square Space is offered by Greg Edgerton, a graphic designer, front-end web developer and founder of Humble Humans. Workshop attendants will work very closely with Edgerton during the three-hour session to setup a simple site and have the opportunity to give and receive constructive peer reviews.
Justine Hudak, a jewelry maker and vintage reseller who has been selling on Etsy since 2009, will offer her knowledge for the Etsy workshop. The two-hour session will give attendees a chance to become familiar with the site as a whole, develop a business plan and set up a successful shop.
Sean Walsh, founder of Crowd Communications Group, lends his years of experience managing accounts, lists and campaigns to empowering participants with the tools and tips they need to implement or improve their email marketing strategy to the three-hour MailChimp workshop.
Anyone who seeks to start an internet-based project or business, or any current business owners who might like some tips to grow their business, is invited to attend. Availability and seats are limited. Tickets run between $25-$30 per session, or $60 for an all day pass.
