Charbroiled steak, cold beers at annual fundraiser
Charity event raises funds for Asbury Park Firefighters Local 384
Asbury Park’s bravest will host their fourth annual Steak Bake fundraiser on Saturday.
For a $35 entrance fee, attendees will eat all the charbroiled steak they can and wash it all down with cold beer and soda. Door prizes will be given away to a lucky few.
The event benefits Asbury Park Professional Firefighter’s Association Local 384, who pay the funds forward through donations made to various local charities like Asbury Park Little League, according to Robert Fahnholz, president of the Asbury Park Professional Firefighter’s Association Local 384.
“The biggest thing we do is adopt three families at Christmas time,” he said. “We provide all of their gifts.”
The event will be held at the Hamilton Fire Department Banquet Hall on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 6 p.m. “until people leave,” he said.
The banquet hall is located at 10 Jumping Brook Rd. in Neptune.
