Mattison Avenue residence struck by gunfire Monday

No one was injured in the incident

A house on the 1400 block of Mattison Avenue was hit by gunfire last night, according to Asbury Park Police Chief Mark Kinmon.

Shortly after 8 p.m. one of the residents of the home called 9-1-1- to report the house had been hit three times, Kinmon said.

No one was injured in the incident and no arrests have been made, he said.

The 1400 block of Mattison Avenue is located between Elizabeth and DeWitt avenues.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Detective Cynthia Yost at Asbury Park Police headquarters at 732-774-1300.

The case is currently being investigated by Asbury Park Police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
