Monday garbage collection cancelled
Regular pickup resumes Tuesday along with Main Street and CBD sectors
With snow in the forecast, the Asbury Park Department of Public Works has cancelled Monday trash collection, according to a City Engineer Joe Cunha, who also heads up the public works department.
Regular collection will resume Tuesday along with pick up in Main Street and Central Business District sectors, he said in a post on the social media site Nextdoor.com. All other Monday pickup locations outside of the Main Street and Central Business District sectors will be collected the next regular pick up day.
The full text of the post is as follows:
“Although the forecast remains unpredictable regarding total precipitation accumulated thru midday, we’re going to play it safe and cancel garbage collection tomorrow. We’ll be resuming Tuesday with pick-up in the normal zone scheduled for that day, PLUS performing Monday’szone pick-up in Main Street and Central Business District sectors only. All other sectors of Monday’s zone will be collected on the next regularly scheduled pick-up day. There is no normally scheduled recycling pick-up on Mondays.”
