15-year-old reports being stabbed to school nurse
Incident allegedly took place last week on a street near the school
An Asbury Park juvenile showed up to Asbury Park Middle School Friday with a stab wound he allegedly received the day before while out on a city street, police said.
The victim, a 15-year-old male, told the school nurse on Friday that he had been stabbed with a kitchen knife once in the lower portion of his back while he was on the 600 block of Pine Street Thursday, according to Asbury Park police Capt. Marshawn Love. Pine Street is about three blocks north of the school, both are located on the west side of the city.
The victim was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center, Love said. A physicians report shows the wound required five stitches, he said.
No one has been charged at this time, Love said
The incident is being investigated by Asbury Park police Det. Darius Davis. Anyone who may have information can call Det. Davis at 732-502-5777.
