Two shot in Neptune Township
Incident occurred in the area of Monroe Avenue and Whitesville Road

A shooting incident has occurred in Neptune Township, police have confirmed.
At least two individuals were shot in the area of Monroe Avenue and Whitesville Road of before 9 p.m. Monday, said Charles Webster, public information officer for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. Neither appears to have sustained injuries that were life-threatening, he said.
No other information is available at this time, he said.
Webster has also fielded questions about a possible second incident happening in the 300 Block of Neptune Boulevard, but the nature of that as-yet-unconfirmed incident is unknown at this time.
