Below is the Allenhurst police blotter from May 11 through 26. The information is published unedited from the Allenhurst Police Department:
MAY 11
After an off-duty Allenhurst officer observed a suspicious vehicle, a further check of the vehicle resulted in a 17-year old W. Allenhurst teen being arrested on possession of marijuana charges. The juvenile was processed and released into the custody of his mother, pending juvenile charges in Family Court. Ptl Dave Lipari was the arresting officer, and was assisted by Ptl Marc Eustace & Ptl Scott Rapolla.
Police arrested a 19-year old Piscataway man, after stopping him for an equipment and seatbelt violation. He was found to be in possession of CDS [marijuana and drug paraphernalia]. He was processed and released on criminal summonses for possession of marijuana [under 50 grams] and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also issued traffic summonses for having CDS in a motor vehicle, operating an unregistered vehicle, and maintenance of lamps. Ptl Anthony Carafa was the arresting officer and was assisted by a Deal PD officer.
MAY 12
After observing a 22-year old Trenton man driving erratically, he was subsequently arrested on DWI charges. He was found to be more than twice the legal limit. He was processed and released to a responsible/sober adult. He was issued summonses for failure to keep right, reckless driving, and driving while intoxicated. His vehicle was also impounded. Ptl Rapolla was the arresting officer.
Police responded to a 2 vehicle crash, at Corlies/Norwood Avenues. A passenger in one of the vehicles was transported to a local hospital, by the Allenhurst First Aid Squad, and 1 of the vehicles involved was towed from the scene. One of the operators was given a summons for failure to yield at an intersection. PFC Mike DiBona was the investigating officer and he was assisted by Chief Richter & Capt Michael Schneider.
MAY 16
Police received a report of a larceny from the Beach Club. An investigation was initiated and the case remains. Ptl Wray Burritt was the responding officer. The incident was later closed, when the “missing items” were subsequently located.
MAY 17
After receiving a call of a subject ringing a door bell, during the early morning hours, police arrested a 19-year old Saddle Brook man for disorderly conduct. Once the first subject was taken into custody, a second subject was identified, and he also was apprehended in the area. The second subject, an 18-year-old Frenchtown, NJ, man was also charged with disorderly conduct. Due to the high level of intoxication, both subjects were transported to a local hospital by the Allenhurst First Aid Squad. Ptl Lipari was the arresting officer and was assisted by officers from Deal.
Officers responded to a report of a disturbance, in the area of Allen Avenue/Main Street. Officers found it was a verbal argument between boyfriend & girlfriend, with no crime being committed. One of the subjects left for the night, on their own. Ptl Lipari and Ptl Carafa were the responding officers.
MAY 18
Police responded to the area of Corlies/Ocean Avenues, for a reported dispute, involving a taxi and it’s passengers. The dispute was mediated by officers and the passenger left the area in a different taxi. PFC DiBona and Ptl Lipari were the responding officers.
MAY 19
After being stopped, as part of a “click it or ticket” detail, a 46-year old Deal man was issued summonses for a seat belt violation, driving while unlicensed, and operating an unregistered vehicle. His vehicle was impounded and he was issued 3 summonses. Capt Schneider was the investigating officer and was assisted by Ptl Wray Burritt.
MAY 20
Police responded to a Main Street business, after receiving a complaint of a dispute between the business and a customer. The matter was settled, after officer spoke with both parties. Sgt Rogers was the investigating officer.
MAY 21
Officers responded to the beachfront area, upon receiving a report of juveniles trespassing on Beach Club property. The juveniles were identified and warned about trespassing, and sent on their way. Ptl Lipari was the responding officer.
Ptl Carafa and K9 Bia assisted in a search of a Ocean County high school. K9 Bia made a positive indication during the search, which resulted in drugs and drug paraphernalia being located.
MAY 23
While working a “click it or ticket” detail, police stopped a 34-year old Eatontown woman and charged her with driving with a suspended driver’s license and driving while uninsured. She was processed and released on summonses and her vehicle was impounded. SO II Molinelli was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Carafa.
MAY 24
While working a “cops in shops” detail, police took 3 Brooklyn juveniles into custody on alcohol related charges, as well as charges of being in possession of fake driver’s licenses. The juveniles were processed and released into their parents or guardians. Formal charges will be pending in Family Court. Ptl Carafa and Ptl Lipari were the arresting officers and were assisted by Capt Schneider.
After observing several subjects by the Beach Club cabanas, during the late night hours, police arrested 3 NY men on drug and trespassing charges. The subjects were processed and released on summonses. One of the subjects was also issued a motor vehicle summons, when his parked/unattended vehicle was found running nearby. SO I Hockin was the investigating officer, and he was assisted by Ptl Burritt, Ptl Eustace, and Capt Schneider.
MAY 25
At the request of Asbury Park PD, surrounding towns were requested to respond, to assist with a large fight. Ptl Eustace and Ptl Rapolla responded. While all the officers were on scene, they were also requested to assist with a shooting incident that was occurring in Neptune Twp.
MAY 26
After stopping a 25-year old Long Branch man for driving erratically, police arrested him, when he was discovered to be intoxicated. He was processed and released on summonses for DWI, reckless driving, and speeding. His vehicle was also impounded. Ptl Eustace was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Rapolla.
While working a “click it or ticket” detail, police stopped a 27-year old Asbury Park woman, when she was observed without a seatbelt. Her passenger, a 26-year old Asbury Park woman, was also unbelted in the vehicle. The passenger was found to have an active warrant, out of Loch Arbour, and was taken into custody without incident. She was turned over to the custody of the Deal PD, in default of bail, Both women were issued summonses for failure to wear a seatbelt. Ptl Lipari was the arresting officer and was assisted by Sgt Rogers.
Police responded to a family dispute during the afternoon hours. The responding officer was able to mediate the dispute while on scene and no charges were filed. Sgt Rogers was the responding officer.
Police stopped a 19-year old Long Branch man, after he was observed driving without a seatbelt. He was also found to be driving without ever having a license and with suspended driving privileges. He was issued summonses for all 3 violations and the vehicle was released to a properly licensed adult. The registered owner also received a summons for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate her vehicle. Sgt Rogers was the investigating officer.
After stopping a 26-year old Long Branch woman for a motor vehicle violation, she was subsequently arrested, when she was found to have an active warrant, out of Old Bridge. She was processed and released on full cash bail. She was issued summonses for driving an unregistered vehicle and driving with a suspended driver’s license. The vehicle keys were released to a properly licensed driver.
Police responded to a report of a verbal argument, between male and female, on Main Street. Upon the officers arrival, the parties were already separated and no charges were filed. The female subject left the area for the night and the matter was settled. Ptl Eustace was the investigating officer.

Between May 10th and May 26th, Police responded to 8 residential and commercial alarm calls. Police also arrested 3 other individuals, during the above time period, for various contempt of court warrants, 1 of which were committed to Monmouth County Jail, in default of bail.
