Shots were fired into a Monroe Avenue home just past 9 p.m. on Saturday night, Police Chief Mark Kinmon said today.
No arrests have been made yet, Kinmon said. There were no injuries and the case is under investigation. The incident was called in to Police Headquarters and officers were dispatched to the area, the chief said.
“There were some teenagers in the house and several adults as well,” he said. “They reported to us that they were in the house and they heard three gunshots.”
In other police department news:
• On May 31, six people were arrested at 29 Atkins Ave. and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance — under 50 grams — and drug paraphenalia.
Those arrested were Dwyane L. Anderson, 36, of Asbury Park; Kyle L. Bunting, 37, of Asbury Park; Joseph Jamel Jones, 35, of Elizabeth; Josalyn Marie Mcghee, 39, of Asbury Park; Tenisha Turner, 35, of Asbury Park; Darryl C. Wilson, 25, of Asbury park.
“The street crime unit executed a search warrant there and they just recovered marijuana and some paraphernalia,” Kinmon said.
Those arrested were all released the same day, the chief said.
• On May 31, a 34-year-old female from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of weapons for unlawful purposes in the 700 block of Fourth Avenue.
• On May 31, a 26-year-old male from Neptune was arrested and charged with two counts of contempt of court; hindering apprehension; and possession of a controlled dangerous substance at the intersection of Prospect and Bangs avenues.
• On May 31, a 20-year-old female form Freehold was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance at the intersection of Prospect and Bangs avenues.
• On June 2, a 30-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution at the intersection of Springwood and Ridge avenues.
• On June 3, a 19-year-old female from Neptune was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated; driving after license was suspended or revoked; leaving the scene of an accident involving property; reckless driving; careless driving; failure to repartee an accident; and operating or using a vehicle without consent in the 900 block of Pine Street.
• On June 3, a 42-year-old male from Hasbrouck Heights was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated; leaving the scene of an accident; failure to report accident; driving after license was suspended or revoked; and consent to take samples of breath. The incident occurred at the intersection of Deal Lake Drive and Main Street.
• On June 3, a 23-year-old female was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice in the fourth degree in the 1200 block of Kingsley Street.
• On June 3, a 22-year-old female from Long Branch was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in the 1200 block of Ocean Avenue.
• On June 3, a 19-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and obstruction of justice at the intersection of Springwood and Ridge avenues.
• On June 3, an 18-year-old male from Jersey City was arrested and charged with simple assault at the Transportation Center in the 100 block of Main Street.
• On June 3, a 49-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice in the fouth degree and resisting arrest in the fourth degree in the 1300 block of Springwood Avenue.
• On June 3, a 20-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with resisting arrest in the third degree, possession of weapons for unlawful purposes and obstruction of justice in the 200 block of Borden Avenue.
• On June 4, a 21-year-old female from Long Branch was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the 1400 block of Main Street.
• On June 4, a 38-year-old female from West Long Branch was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia in the 1400 block of Main Street.
