An Asbury Park woman was arrested Monday after police said she seriously injured her infant son.

Nicole Cudd, 25, a resident of the Oceanic Motel, caused “serious injuries” to her 10-month-old son during an incident that occurred on May 20, according to a news release from the Asbury Park Police Department.

The boy was treated at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and then transferred to a Philadelphia hospital for further treatment, the release said.

As the result of a joint investigation between Asbury Park police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Cudd was charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child on Monday, June 2.

Asbury Park Police Det. Darrius Davis signed the criminal complaint.

Cudd’s bail was set by Superior Court Judge Bowman at $200,000 with no option to post 10 percent. She was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail.

Cudd is also prohibited from contact with the child, as ordered by Bowman.
