Below is the Allenhurst police blotter from June 10 through 27. The information is published unedited from the Allenhurst Police Department:
JUNE 10
• Police charged a 22-year old Point Pleasant man for driving without a license, after stopping him for a motor vehicle violation. He was also found to be driving a vehicle, with an expired registration. The man was processed, and released on summonses, and the vehicle was turned over to a licensed driver. The registered owner of the vehicle also received a summons for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate their vehicle. Ptl Marc Eustace was the investigating officer and was assisted by Ptl Wray Burritt.
JUNE 14
• Officers responded to a serious 2 vehicle crash, at the intersection of Allen & Norwood Avenues. It was determined the operator of one of the vehicles failed to yield the right of way at the intersection, causing the crash. The Allenhurst Fire Dept (extrication) and First Aid squad also responded. The driver of 1 of the vehicles was transported to a local hospital, with serious, but not life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. One of the drivers was issued a summons for failure to yield right of way at an intersection. Ptl Dave Lipari was the investigating officer and was assisted by Sgt James Rogers and SO Sean Edson.
• Officers responded to a Spier Avenue residence for a dispute between neighbors. The matter was settled, for the time-being, while officers were on location. The matter will be monitored to see if further action is necessary. Ptl Lipari was the responding officer.
JUNE 16
• While following up on a Borough Ordinance violation, officers arrested a 33-year old Long Branch man, when it was found he had an active arrest warrant, out of Wanaque, NJ. He was processed and released, after posting cash bail. He was also issued a Boro Ordinance summons, with a pending court date, for performing construction work, after allowable hours. Sgt Rogers was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Rapolla.
JUNE 17
• Police were requested to respond to a Main Street business, for a report of an intoxicated person in the area. The area was checked and it was found the individual had already left the area. Ptl Rapolla was the responding officer.
• Police stopped a 30-year old Delaware man for a motor vehicle violation and found he was unlicensed. The temporary Pa registration also appeared to be fictitious. It was determined the vehicle was not registered. The subject was released on multiple summonses and the vehicle was impounded.
• The matter is still under investigation, due to the possible fictitious registration. Ptl Rapolla was the investigating officer and was assisted by Sgt Rogers and SO Molinelli.
JUNE 18
• The Police Dept responded to the Beach Club for a report of a facial laceration. The patient was Treated on scene and refused further medical attention. Ptl Lipari was the investigating officer.
• Police issued a summons to a 32-year old Atlantic City man for driving, without ever having a license. The vehicle, and keys, were released into the custody of a properly licensed driver. SO Molinelli was the arresting officer, and was assisted by Ptl Burritt.
JUNE 19
• Police charged a 33-year old contractor with improper dumping into a sewer system, after he was observed washing masonry-related materials into a storm sewer. He was issued a summons, with a mandatory court appearance, and sent on his way. Ptl Lipari & SO Edson were the investigating officers.
JUNE 20
After stopping a 23-year old Jersey City man, he was arrested, when it was found he had an active warrant, out of Glen Ridge. He was processed and released, after posting full cash bail. He was issued summonses for driving with a suspended driver’s license and failure to notify change of address with DMV. Capt Schneider was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Burritt.
JUNE 21
• Police were requested to respond to the train station, by NJ Transit, for an inbound train with disorderly subject. When the train arrived at the station, Police removed 5 adult individuals, who found alternate means of transportation. No charges were filed. The responding officers were Ptl Burritt, Ptl Rapolla, and SO Molinelli.
• Police responded to a minor motor vehicle crash on Main Street, involving no injuries. A crash report was taken and both vehicles were driven away from the location. Ptl Lipari was the investigating officer.
JUNE 22
• While working a DWI checkpoint, on Main Street, Police arrested a 24-year old Brooklyn man, when he was found to have a warrant for his arrest, out of Edison. He was processed and released on full cash bail. He was also issued an Allenhurst traffic summons for a passenger improperly riding inside the vehicle. PFC DiBona was the arresting officer.
• While working a DWI checkpoint, on Main Street, Police arrested a 36-year old East Orange man, when he was found to have a warrant for his arrest, out of Gloucester Township. He was processed and released on his own recognizance, per Gloucester Township. Ptl Rapolla was the arresting officer.
• After stopping a 37-year old Long Branch man, he was arrested on an outstanding warrants, out of Wall Twp. and Long Branch. The subject could not post bail and was released into the custody of Long Branch officers. SO Molinelli was the arresting officer & was assisted by PFC DiBona. He was also issued an Allenhurst traffic summons for driving with a suspended driver’s license.
JUNE 23
• Police and the first aid units responded to the Beach Club for a reported leg injury. Although the patient initially declined transportation to the hospital, she was transported to a local hospital a short time later. SO Edson was the responding officer.
• After stopping a 27-year old Asbury Park man for an equipment violation, he was found to be driving, without ever having a driver’s license. He was processed and released on summonses for driving while unlicensed and maintenance of lamps. PFC DiBona was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Rapolla.
JUNE 24
• At the request of Deal PD, assistance was provided at a traffic stop, for a possible drunk driver. The subject was subsequently arrested by Deal officer. PFC DiBona was the responding officer.
• Police were requested to respond to Main Street for a report of criminal mischief done to a vehicle. While one officer was taking the complaint, another officer located the suspect vehicle. It was finally determined the incident occurred in Loch Arbour, and the incident was handled by Deal PD. The suspect vehicle that was stopped by Allenhurst officer was positively identified and criminal mischief summonses were issued by Deal officers. Ptl Burritt and PFC DiBona were the responding officers.
JUNE 26
• Police received a report of a suspicious phone call, where the caller identified himself as an Allenhurst Detective. The matter was investigated and was found to be a telephone marketing call, raising funds for police officers. The Allenhurst Police department wants to advise all residents that NO FUNDRAISING is done via telephone, and the companies that do this type of marketing usually only donate a very small percentage of monies raised to a legitimate police-related function. Capt Schneider was the investigating officer.
• Police charged a 45-year old Asbury Park woman for driving while uninsured, after stopping her vehicle. She was also charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license. Her vehicle was also impounded. SO Molinelli was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Carafa.
• Police responded to a Main Street business for a report of a subject begging for money from customers in the store. Police identified the subject, checked him for warrants, and advised him of the Borough Ordinance which prohibits panhandling. He was sent on his way. Ptl Burritt and Ptl Carafa were the responding officers.
JUNE 27
• After stopping a 28-year old Asbury Park woman, she was charged with driving without ever having a driver’s license. She was additionally issued a summons for driving a vehicle, with an expired registration. She was released on summonses. Ptl Carafa was the involved officer.
• After stopping a 30-year old Oakhurst man, he was charged with driving while uninsured. He was also given summonses for driving an unregistered vehicle and driving with a suspended driver’s license. His vehicle was also impounded. SO Molinelli was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Carafa.
• Police arrested a 42-year old Highland Park woman for DWI, after stopping her for speeding. Her blood alcohol content was found to be more than twice the legal limit. She was processed and released into the custody of a responsible/sober adult, after spending some time at HQ. Her vehicle was also impounded. Ptl Burritt was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Rapolla.

• Between June 10th, and June 27th, Police responded to 12 residential and commercial alarm calls.
• Police also arrested 2 other individuals, during the above time period, for various contempt of court warrants.
