Surf and Skate 2015 will be held in Asbury Park
Will have same stage layout as 2014 festival just west of Convention Hall
The Asbury Park City Council Wednesday unanimously approved the dates for the 2015 Skate and Surf Festival.
Surf and Skate will be held May 16 and 17 in Bradley Park, the same location it was held this May just west of Convention Hall.
The festival is a multi-day, youth culture event that combines music, competitive gaming, skateboarding and surfing. This year’s festival featured five total stages with Bands New Found Glory, Alkaline Trio, Midtown, Circa Survive, Saosin, Jake Miller and Kid Ink headlining.

The 2015 concert series will have the same physical layout as this year’s festival, said Tom Gilmour, the city’s director of economic development. Gilmour also heads up the city’s special event committee.
Approximately 3,500 people attended the 2014 festival by police estimates, Asbury Park Police Deputy Chief Anthony Salerno previously told the Sun.
Skate and Surf got its start in the city a decade ago. The history of the concert series saw it grow into the Bamboozle Festival managed by national concert promoter LiveNation and move up north to Giants Stadium for several years. Promoters brought Bamboozle back to Asbury Park in 2012 but announced shortly after the festival they would not bring it back the following year.
