Eighth annual Historical Society art show takes place Sunday
'Artists are excited about coming to the show and exhibiting in Asbury Park'
The Asbury Park Historical Society will hold its eighth annual “Art on the Boardwalk” show this Sunday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Asbury Park boardwalk between Sunset & Fifth avenues, just south of Convention Hall.
Work from over a dozen sculptors, painters and photographers will be on display, according to a news release from the historical society.
“This has turned into an annual event for the Historical Society and we are very excited to continue it. We have many artists returning to this year’s art show. We keep it open to all fine arts, including watercolors, oils, photography and so much more- there will be something for everyone,” Historical Society Trustee Teddy Chomko said in the release.
Any artists who are interested in participating can call Chomko at 848-667-3432. The show is open to all fine art artists [no crafts please]. Entry fee for artists is $75.00, which includes a 10 x 12 space.
The art show has always been a hit, according to show co-founder Dolly Sternesky.
“More and more people are visiting Asbury Park each year and artists are excited about coming to the show and exhibiting in Asbury Park,” Strenesky said in the release.
