Below is the Allenhurst police blotter from August 15 through 24. The information is edited to meet Associated Press Stylebook standards but is published otherwise unedited from the Allenhurst Police Department:
AUG 15
• Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Spier and Norwood avenues. There were injuries and no summonses issued. Patrolman Lipari was the investigating officer.
• Police responded to a report of a dispute at the Citgo gas station on Main Street. The matter was settled amongst both parties while officers was on location. Patrolman Lipari was the responding officer.
• Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Corlies and Norwood avenues. There were no injuries and one driver was issued a summons for failure to yield right of way at an intersection. Patrolman Lipari and Patrolman Carafa were the responding officers.
• Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 400 block of Main Street. There were no injuries and no summonses issued, but one of the vehicles needed to be towed from the scene. Capt. Schneider was the investigating officer.
• After stopping a 25-year-old Eatontown woman for speeding she was found to be driving on a suspended license. She was issued summonses for both violations and released with a pending court date.
• The vehicle was released to a licensed driver. Patrolman Burritt was the investigating officer.
AUG 16
• Within a two-our period, officers located two vehicles that were disabled in traffic. One vehicle was driving through town on a blown out tire and the other had a tire snap off the vehicle. Both vehicles were removed from the roadway via tow trucks.
AUG 17
• After stopping a 33-year old-Asbury Park man for an equipment violation he was found to driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was processed and released on summonses for both violations with a pending court date. Patrolman Eustace was the investigating officer.
• After stopping a 23-year-old Brooklyn man for multiple violations, he was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was processed and issued summonses for DWI, reckless driving, refusal to give breath samples, speeding, maintenance of lamps, and failure to dim high beams. He was processed and released to a responsible/sober adult & his vehicle was impounded. Patrolman Eustace was the arresting officer and was assisted by Capt. Schneider.
AUG 18
• After stopping a 34-year-old Brooklyn man for speeding, he was found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was issued summonses for both violations with a pending court date. The vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Patrolman Rapolla was the investigating officer.
• Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Elberon Avenue with no injuries. Neither driver was issued a summons and both vehicles were driven from the scene. Patrolman Rapolla was the investigating officer.
• Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Spier and Ocean avenues. There were no reported injuries and neither driver received a summons. Patrolman First Class DiBona was the responding officer.
AUG 20
• Patrolman Carafa and K-9 Bia conducted in service training with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
AUG 21
• Officers checked on a suspicious male walking around the train station in the early morning hours. The subject was found to be homeless but declined the officer’s efforts to find him emergency accommodations. The subject was checked for warrants and sent on his way. Patrolman First Class DiBona and Patrolman Burritt were the investigating officers.
• Police took a report of a stolen bicycle from the beachfront. Police want to remind all residents to report any suspicious persons immediately. Patrolman Lipari took the report and was assisted by Class II Special Officer Edson.
• Police responded to the beachfront for a report of a two-vehicle crash where one of the vehicles left the scene. With the assistance of witnesses in the area the vehicle that left the scene was identified and motor vehicle charges are pending. Patrolman Lipari is the investigating officer.
• While conducting a DWI enforcement detail, police arrested a 19-year-old Wall Township woman for driving without insurance after stopping her for an equipment violation. She was processed and released on motor vehicle summonses to await a future court date. Patrolman Burritt was the investigating officer and was assisted by Patrolman Carafa.
AUG 22
• Patrolman Carafa and K-9 Bia assisted Neptune City PD with the search of a vehicle. After a positive indication for narcotics the vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant.
AUG 23
• After checking on a suspicious vehicle in the early morning hours police arrested a 29-year-old Tinton Falls man on an outstanding criminal warrant out of Asbury Park. The subject was processed and released after posting full cash bail. Patrolman Carafa was the arresting officer and was assisted by Patrolman Burritt. The female driver was released at the scene by officers.
• Police began a fraud investigation, after the Municipal Court clerk reported fraudulent documents, being sent to the court. Det. Lipari is the investigating officer and criminal charges are pending.
• Police charged a 38-year-old Asbury Park man with driving while suspended after stopping his vehicle for an equipment violation. He was processed and released on two motor vehicle summonses with a pending court date. Class II Special Officer Molinelli was the arresting officer.
AUG 24
• While working a DWI checkpoint on Main Street, police found one vehicle that was unregistered and another driver who had never had a driver’s license. Both subjects were released on traffic summonses. Patrolman Burritt was the investigating officer.
• Police responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Corlies and Norwood avenues. There were no reported injuries and one vehicle had to be towed from the scene. One of the drivers was issued a summons for failure to yield right of way at an intersection. Patrolman Eustace was the investigating officer and he was assisted by Patrolman Rapolla.
• While working a DWI checkpoint on Main Street, police arrested a 23-year-old Long Branch man for possession of drug paraphernalia. After further investigation, the subject was also found to be in possession of marijuana [under 50g], when a hidden compartment was detected, which was used to hide the contraband. The subject was processed and released on criminal summonses, with a pending court date. Patrolman Lipari was the arresting officer and was assisted by Patrolman Carafa and K-9 Bia.
• At the completion of a DWI checkpoint, officers arrested a 33-year-old Long Branch woman, after she was observed driving erratically on Norwood Avenue. She was charged with DWI, reckless driving, failure to keep right, driving while unlicensed, and having a passenger riding in the cargo portion of the vehicle. She was processed, and released to a responsible/sober adult, on motor vehicle summonses, with a pending court date. Patrolman Lipari was the arresting officer, and he was assisted by Capt Schneider, Sgt Rogers, and Patrolman Eustace. A female passenger in the vehicle was also transported to a local hospital, for being heavily intoxicated, by the Allenhurst First Aid Squad.
• After stopping a 34-year-old Somerset woman, she was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Tinton Falls and Highland Park. The woman was processed and released, after posting full cash bail. She was also issued an Allenhurst traffic summons for driving while suspended. Class II Special Officer Molinelli was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl. First Class DiBona.
• Police responded to a minor two vehicle crash at Cedar/Ocean Place. There were no reported and both vehicles were able to be driven. The responding officers were Patrolman Rapolla and Class II Special Officer Molinelli.
• After responding to a complaint of a criminal mischief incident, involving an air-soft gun. The matter is still under investigation and charges are still possible. Sgt. Rogers was the investigating officer and was assisted by Ptl. Rapolla and Class II Special Officer Molinelli.

• Between August 13 and 25, police responded to five residential and commercial alarm calls.
• During this same time period, officers arrested two other individuals on various contempt of court warrants.
