Two women shoplift cart full of goods, head back for more
Asbury, Neptune woman apprehended while filling second cart
An Asbury Park and a Neptune resident were arrested after walking out of a Target store with a full shopping cart of stolen merchandise they unloaded into a car in the parking lot before they went back in to the store to fill it again.
Ocean Police responded to the Target Greatland store in reference to a shoplifting in progress just before 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from township police.
Iquanna S. Wiggs, 21, Asbury Park, and Natosha D. Rolfe, 23, Neptune, allegedly walked out of the store with a shopping cart full of merchandise without paying, emptied the merchandise into a Jeep Liberty that was parked in the lot and reentered the store.
They were apprehended by police while pushing a second cart of merchandise, the release stated.
The merchandise taken was valued at $1419.48.
Wiggs was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit shoplifting.
Rolfe was charged with one count of shoplifting.
Both women were released on complaint summonses and scheduled to appear at a future court hearing.
The 2002 Jeep Liberty was seized under the state criminal forfeiture guidelines for being used in the commission of a crime.
Officers Jason Lester and Daniel Weber, and Sergeants Patrick Martin and Brendan Bruther were the arresting and investigating officers.
