Sun editor Bartlett to leave at end of month
"I thank her for her service to our great city of Asbury Park"
I regret to inform our readers that Asbury Park Sun Editor Jill Bartlett will be leaving her post at the end of January.
During Jill’s tenure, the Sun has continued to grow in readership and importance to Asbury Park and its immediate surrounding communities. Jill’s hard work, dedication and passion for the greater Asbury area are the reasons for that.
She’s been a great representative for both the Asbury Park Sun, and by extension, the triCityNews, which owns the Sun website. Jill was trusted across every community in our city, as she reported all types of stories from every corner of Asbury Park and outside its borders — all with a commitment to fairness and accuracy.
The Sun is now a trusted and important news source, which people rely upon for information to form their own opinions and keep themselves up-to-date. Jill Bartlett is the reason for that, and both the triCityNews and our city are in her debt for her good work.
I will be posting a job description on Monday morning for the position as we seek Jill’s replacement. In the meantime, I thank her for her service to our great city of Asbury Park!
