From February 4 to 16 Allenhurst Police Department conducted the following:
FEB 4
- A 25-year-old Glen Gardiner woman was charged with driving while having a suspended license and issued a summonses for obstructed license plate following a motor vehicle stop for an equipment violation by Patrolman Wray Burritt.
- A 28-year-old Sea Girt woman was charged with speeding, failure to exhibit a registration card, and driving while unlicensed after a motor vehicle stop by Patrolman Burritt.
- A 32-year-old Neptune City man was charged with driving while unlicensed (never having had a license). The registered owner of the vehicle was also issued a summons for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate their vehicle. Patrolmen Anthony Carafa and David Lipari investigated.
FEB 5
- A 29-year-old Ocean Grove woman was arrested for speeding, failure to observe a traffic signal, reckless driving, and driving while intoxicated by Patrolmen Carafa and Lipari. Her vehicle was also impounded.
- A 22-year-old Asbury Park woman was charged with failing to display an inspection sticker, not wearing a seatbelt, and driving while suspended by Patrolman Burritt.
FEB 6
- Patrolman Burritt responded to a two-vehicle crash on Corlies Avenue. The crash was minor and no injuries were reported.
FEB 7
- A vehicle reported stolen was stopped ½ hour later by Patrolman Carafa during the early morning hours as it entered Asbury Park. A 40-year-old Asbury Park man was arrested at gunpoint and charged with possession of stolen property and driving with a suspended driver’s license. Patrolman Lipari and K9 Bia assisted.
- A 26-year-old Neptune man, stopped for driving erratically and who passed a field sobriety test, was charged with failure to keep right and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle after a voluntary consent to search his vehicle revealed positive indication for the presence of narcotics. During questioning, police detected the odor of marijuana and found trace amounts of the drug in the vehicle. Patrolman Lipari was assisted by Patrolman Carafa and K9 Bia.
- A 25-year-old Edgewater man was charged with driving while unlicensed and failure to change address by Captain Michael Schneider.
- A 42-year-old Long Branch man was charged with driving while unlicensed Special Officer Whitney Molinelli was the involved officer.
FEB 8
- A 31-year old-Cliffwood man was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle, failure to change address and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Rapolla. After police detected a marijuana odor, the suspect refused a voluntary vehicle search. The car was impounded but written consent was given the following day. Sgt. James Rogers, Patrolman Carafa, and K9 Bia assisted.
- A 26-year-old Neptune woman was charged with driving while suspended and maintenance of lamps by Patrolman Scott Rapolla.
FEB 9
- A 24-year-old Long Branch man charged with driving with a suspended licenses and maintenance of lamps was found to have an outstanding Long Branch warrant by Patrolmen Rapolla and Michael DiBona.
FEB 10
- A 51-year-old Long Branch man was charged maintenance of lamps, driving with an expired license, and driving while suspended by Patrolman DiBona.
FEB 11
- Patrolman Marc Eustace investigated a theft in the area of Benson Park.
- A 25-year-old Long Branch man was charged with driving while unlicensed (never having had a license) by Patrolman Eustace.
- An improper turn summons was issued to a driver involved in a two-car crash on Main Street. No one was injured. Patrolmen Lipari and Eustace investigated.
FEB 12
- An attempted act of fraud report was filed with Captain Schneider. Officials said someone identifying themselves as an IRS employee attempted to gain personal information via telephone.
FEB 13
- A 33-year-old Asbury Park woman was charged with driving while unlicensed by Patrolman Lipari.
- A 26-year-old Neptune woman was charged with falsely incriminating another for statements given in relation to a 2014 motor vehicle stop and the numerous court appearance that followed. Captain Schneider investigated.
- Patrolman Carafa and K9 Bia assisted Neptune City Police Department with the execution of a search warrant that yielded the discovery of a large amount of marijuana.
FEB 14
- A 25-year-old Asbury Park woman was charged with driving while unlicensed and maintenance of lamps by Patromen Burritt and Carafa.
- A 32-year-old Long Branch man was charged with speeding and driving while unlicensed by Patrolmen Burritt and Carafa.
From February 2 to 16, police responded to six residential and commercial alarm calls, arrested two people on contempt of court warrants and assisted other agency five times.
