Fisherman's lot, Lake Ave., & abandoned properties considered

The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to hold a workshop meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in council chambers at City Hall.
A public participation session is scheduled to take place near the end of the meeting, prior to comments from city officials. Items on the agenda for the meeting include:
- A presentation by Donald Samment, the city’s Planning and Redevelopment Director, on a proposed Central Business District plan amendment for the Lakehouse expansion.
- A presentation by John Leidersdorf, regarding a tax abatement request for the Lakehouse.
- A presentation by Property Improvement Director Robert McKeon on the state’s Abandoned Properties Rehabilitation Act as it pertains to its definition and the city’s list.
- A presentation by Fire Chief Kevin Keddy regarding a Safer Grant application.
- A discussion on the NJDEP’s request to use Fisherman’s Parking Lot as a storage and staging area during beach replenishment projects in northern communities.
- A discussion on board, commission and committee appointments.
