The Allenhurst Police Department conducted the following between Feb. 16 to March 2:
FEB 16
- Patrolman James Rogers responded to a frozen water pipe and a broken water pipe call. At an Elberon Avenue home the water was temporarily shut off and the landlord immediately contacted contractors. At a Page Avenue residence the water pipe broke and Rogers was able to make entry and shut off the water valve to the home. The homeowner was contacted and a relative responded to coordinate repair.
FEB 19
- Patrolman Wray Burritt responded to broken water pipe at a Corlies Avenue residence. The homeowner was contacted and gave instructions on how to enter the home and turn off the water valve.
- A 47-year-old Lakewood man stopped for driving without operating headlights was charged by Patrolman Anthony Carafa with driving without a license (never having had a license).
FEB 21
- A 23-year-old Ocean Township man was charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license by Patrolman Burritt.
- A 57-year-old West Long Branch man was charged with an equipment violation and driving while unlicensed. Patrolman Carafa assisted Capt. Michael Schneider.
FEB 22
- A 28-year-old Long Branch woman was charged with driving while suspended during a motor vehicle stop by Patrolmen Scott Rapolla and Carafa.
FEB 24
- Patrolman Rogers responded to a broken water pipe at an Elberon Avenue home and was able to make entry into the home and turn off the water.
FEB 25
- A 38-year-old Long Branch woman was charged with having an expired registration and for driving while unlicensed by Patrolman Micheal DiBona.
FEB 26
- Patrolman Carafa and K9 Bia assisted Deal police in issuing a search warrant that uncovered numerous bags of marijuana.
- A 21-year-old Brooklyn woman was charged with driving while unlicensed and for making an improper U-turn by Patrolman Burritt.
- A 31-year-old Long Branch woman was charged with an equipment violation and driving while unlicensed by Capt. Schneider.
- After responding to a house alarm and finding an unlocked door, K9 Bia was deployed to search the home. The residence was found to empty and Patrolmen Carafa and Lipari were able to secure the premises.
FEB 27
- A 71-year-old Ocean Township woman was arrested on a Lake Como warrant and charged with driving with a suspended license by Patrolman Burritt and Capt. Schneider.
- A 51-year-old Eatontown woman was charged with driving while unlicensed by Patrolman Burritt. The vehicles registered owner received a summons for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate the vehicle.
- A 27-year-old Brick man was charged with driving while suspended by Patrolman Carafa.
FEB 28
- Patrolman Carafa and K9 Bia assisted Patrolman David Lipari with investigating a suspiciously parked vehicle. A male subject was given roadside field sobriety tests and a vehicle search was conducted. The man was advised of a Borough Ordinance prohibiting sleeping in a vehicle and sent on his way.
- A-25-year-old Asbury Park woman was charged with an equipment violation and driving without a license by Patrolman Burritt. The vehicle’s registered owner was issued a summons for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate the vehicle.
- Captain Schneider and Patrolman Burritt responded to domestic dispute at a Main Street Apartment. One of the two parties elected to leave the home for the time being.
From Feb. 16 to March 2, the department responded to 10 residential and commercial alarm calls, arrested three individuals on contempt of court warrants that resulted in them being remanded to the Monmouth County Jail, and assisted other agencies six times.
