A forty seven year old Asbury Park man was charged with burglary and theft for allegedly breaking a plate glass window at Porta last week and making off with two three-quarter liter bottles of “Llords triple sec and Stoli Orange vodka,” according to a criminal complaint filed by Asbury Park police.

Daniel Sweeney, 213 Second Avenue, used a boulder to break the window, stated the complaint signed by Officer Steven Ramseur. The window was valued at $600 and the liquor at $75, according to Ramseur’s statement.

The incident allegedly occurred last Wednesday while Porta was closed, and Ramseur signed the complaint the next day.

The popular Porta, a restaurant and nightclub, is located at 911 Kingsley Street.

Sweeney was initially held on $5,000 bail, with no ten percent option, according to the complaint.
