Street Performer rotation and arcade games up for discussion
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to hold a workshop meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in council chambers at City Hall.
A public participation session is scheduled to take place at the end of the meeting following reports by the City Council, Manager, and Attorney. Items on the agenda for the meeting include:
• The Environmental Commission’s presentation on Merchants Park improvements.
• A review of the Community Development Block Grant’s 5-year Consolidation Plan by Metro Company’s Robert Kull.
• Deputy Chief Anthony Salerno’s review of handicap parking space removals and code recommendations.
• Fire Chief Kevin Keddy’s report on fire apparatus acquisitions.
• Director of Property Improvement Rob McKeon’s presentation of an abandoned and vacant property creditor’s responsibility ordinance.
• The City Council will discuss the Planning Board’s recommendation for the proposed amendment to the Redevelopment Plan application procedure and the establishment of escrow accounts; amending the amount of arcades allowable at businesses; recommendations by the Parking Advisory Committee; changes to the street performer’s ordinance that requires a 3-hour rotation; and plans for the Wesley Lake weed treatment project.
