A new concert series along the Asbury Park boardwalk launches next week.

MOGO, Korean Fusion Tacos, and the Lakehouse Music Academy are coming together to present “Asbury Park Live,” a free weekly summer concert series.

The concerts are held 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays on the First Avenue greenspace next to MOGO’s pop up site.

“The purpose of Asbury Park Live is to showcase and provide exposure for the extremely talented local musicians that make Asbury Park’s music scene great as well as to give back to our local music community and invest in its future,” MOGO owner Sam Chung said.

MOGO will donate $1 from every taco sold during the events to the Asbury Park Music Foundation, whose youth initiative provides musical education, programming, lessons and instruments to Asbury Park’s youth. A small portion of the donation will help fund the local bands.

“The idea of the event is to have patrons grab a nice seat on the lawn and enjoy a free live show from some of the great bands Asbury Park has to offer,” Chung said.
