MV stop leads to heroin possession arrest

Passenger charged with possession of 23 bags of heroin

A 28-year-old Long Branch woman was arrested for heroin possession after police observed her throwing a lit cigarette out the passenger window of a vehicle driving unsafely along Route 35, according to news release from the Ocean Township Police Department.

Heather A. Throckmorton was charged Wednesday with possession of 23 bags of heroin, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and throwing debris from a vehicle by Detectives Michael Legg and Matthew Jackiewicz.
