Liquor license, police grant, & Smith easement approval on agenda
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to hold a workshop meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in council chambers at City Hall.
A public participation session is scheduled to take place near the end of the meeting, after comments from city officials. Items on the agenda for the meeting include:
• Special event approvals include a discussion regarding the National Action Network by Board of Education member Felicia Simmons.
• The City Council will review an application for a hotel liquor license in the city’s waterfront redevelopment area.
• Deputy Chief of Police Anthony Salerno will offer proposed changes to the city’s towing ordinance, and an inter-local agreement with Neptune and Long Branch to apply for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant. The municipalities would use the $52,746 grant to purchase equipment.
Smith lawyer Salvatore Alfieri will seek preliminary approval for changes to their Happiness Luncheonette building located Cookman Avenue and for an office space at 613 Bangs Avenue in the city’s business redevelopment district.
