Boardwalk lighting, escrow fees & regulations, and 2014 audit on agenda

The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to hold a workshop meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in council chambers at City Hall, located at 1 Municipal Plaza.

A public participation session is scheduled to take place near the end of the meeting, after comments from city officials. Items on the agenda for the meeting include:

• Special event and wedding applications, including Johnstown, Pa. based Walking in Her Shoes event in Sunset Park to honor June 16 shooting victim Tamara Wilson-Seidle; boardwalk redeveloper Madison Marquette’s Sept. 26 Indian Summer camping event; and the Fishing Club request to the city for co-sponsorship of their annual flea market.

• City Planner Michele Alonso will give a presentation on potential amendments to the City Land Development Regulations. Discussions include changes to escrow procedures, fees and deposits, as well as fence and retaining wall guidelines.

• T&M Associates Engineer Christine Ballard will discuss bids for the boardwalk lighting project as well as the repairs to the Wastewater Treatment Plant’s outfall diffuser.

• David Kaplan of Wiss Company will give a presentation on the city’s 2014 audit report.
