Asbury Agile web/tech conference set for Oct. 2
Over 200 industry professionals expected at 5th annual event
The Fifth Annual Asbury Agile web professionals’ conference returns Oct. 2 at Asbury Festhalle and Biergarten on Lake Avenue.
Organized by Cowerks, in conjunction with Monty Lounge Industries and Jersey Shore Tech Meetup, Asbury Agile brings together web and mobile professionals, start-up entrepreneurs, designers, developers, small business owners, and tech enthusiasts throughout Monmouth County.
“Asbury Agile is less agile methodologies and more about being an agile, well rounded, nimble professional,” Cowerks founder Bret Morgan said. “We’re extremely lucky to be a part of the great and growing tech community here at the Jersey Shore. The event is a laid back, informal day for everyone to share and learn new ideas, hang out with old friends and make new ones.”
Morgan said over 200 entrepreneurs are expected to attend the one-day conference that will feature an array of speakers from companies and organizations like NPR, Buzzfeed, Tumblr, Customer.io, Etsy, Bit.ly, Formidable Labs, McCarter English, and Workwave, iCIMS.
Close to 10 percent of those who attend the conference are area high school students and their educators, who attend the event free of charge.
This year’s line-up includes:
Marine Boudeau – Director of Product & UX Design, WNYC/NYPR
Emily Brick – Senior Product Designer, Buzzfeed
Janet Choi -Marketing Manager, Customer.io
Chris Fetherston – Product Engineer, Tumblr
