APFD: Move vehicles from flood prone areas
Heavy rains could result in flash floods

The Asbury Park Fire Department has put out a safety alert to move vehicles to higher ground.
“Due to heavy rain, you should move your vehicle to high ground if you are in a flood prone area,” the alert states. “Do not drive through flooded roadways.”
The National Weather Service has also put out a hazardous weather warning that today’s heavy rains may lead to flooding in urban, poor drainage and low lying areas for eastern Monmouth County.
The Weather Service calculates as much as two inches of rain could fall throughout the day and night before its Friday clearing.
