Local men hospitalized after report of gunshots
Police ask public's help in investigation
Two Asbury Park men, ages 23, remain in stable condition at a local hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds in the early morning hours Sunday.
Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office spokesman Charles Webster said Asbury Park Patrol officers responded to the 1000 block of Bangs Avenue near 2:08 a.m. following a report of gunshots fired. While officers found no victim at the scene the did secure evidence of gunfire.
During their canvas of the scene, officers recieved information that the two gunshot victims were at the local hospital.
No arrests have been made but the investigation into the circumstances of this incident remains ongoing, Webster said.
