Asbury Park Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn and wife Heather Jensen welcomed their son Jensen Howard Quinn into world Sunday morning.
“Hard core from day 1!” Jensen wrote in a Facebook post. “Just kidding, he was yawning.”
Quinn said Sunday evening the labor took over 25 hours and baby Jensen entered the world at 12:35 a.m.
He weighted 7.05 pounds, she said.
Jensen was born at Jersey Shore University Medical Center with the aid of midwife Patty Brown of The Center for Women’s Health in Avon. Brown is the mother of local musician and Bond Street bartender Chris Brown.
“Mom and baby are fine…,” Quinn’s wife, Jensen, said.
This is the couple’s first child.
