Michael Capabianco to be named Asbury Park City Manager
Currently serves as a borough administrator in Bergen County
Little Ferry Borough Administrator Michael Capabianco will be named City Manager during the Asbury Park City Council’s meeting on October 28, according to a source.
Capabianco has signed a contract with the city and is expected to begin work Nov. 9, a source said.
Capabianco is 38, according to public information site Intellius and Instant Checkmate. He could not be reached Wednesday evening for comment.
According to his LinkedIn page, Capabianco has served as administrator in Little Ferry in Bergen County since February 2010.
He previously worked as Municipal Manager for Scotch Plains Township, as Shared Services Coordinator for the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, and as the Borough Manager for the Borough of Folcroft.
His listed specialties include union negotiations, government liaison, government management, policy & statistical analysis, land development, planning, zoning, economic development, community development, neighborhood development, criminal justice theory, government operations, performance improvement, public works operations, parks and recreation operations, public speaking and presentation
He obtained a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph’s University in 2005, a Master’s of Public Administration from Kean University in 2001, and a BA in Criminal Justice from York College of Pennsylvania in 1998.
