Double shooting near Monroe and Winn Avenues
Two transported to area hospital with non-life threatening injuries
Asbury Park Police and emergency officials are reporting two people were transported to an area hospital following a double shooting near Monroe and Winn avenues on Monday afternoon.
The wounds do not appear to be life threatening, according an emergency responder.
The victims are said to be black males in their 20s. One was struck in his right shoulder and another in his left buttock, the emergency official said.
The Asbury Park Police and Fire Department responded. Two Asbury Park Fire department ambulances and a battalion unit responed.
The men were treated at the scene and then transported to a nearby hospital, the official said.
