Don Cheadle coming to Asbury Park Music In Film Festival
'Miles Ahead' Director and Star participates in Q&A at Paramount
The Asbury Park Music in Film Festival [APMFF] has announced a lineup that includes the screening of “Miles Ahead,” directed and staring Don Cheadle. The “House of Lies” star will take part in a Q&A about his directorial debut on April 8 at the Paramount Theatre.
Running from April 8 to 10, the Festival ‘is about bringing people together to share a collective passion for both music and film while also helping to inspire and support our community,’ organizers said in a written statement.
The Festival benefits the Asbury Park Music Foundation (APMF) mission to provide music education, lessons, instruments, programs and social connection opportunities for the city’s youth.
This year’s judges include Tom Bernard of Sony Pictures Classics, Photographer and Filmmaker Danny Clinch, Adam Block of Legacy Recordings Sony Music Entertainment, Josh Braun of Submarine Entertainment, Eric Eisner of L+E Productions, Vinnie Favale of CBS Late Night Programming, the Halo Group’s Tom Jones, Bob Dylan’s manager and producer Jeff Rosen, Steve Gorelick of The NJ Motion Picture & Television Commission, and Shelli Sonstein of iHeart Media/Q104.3 FM.
The Sunday Festival finale includes performances by New Orleans jazz masters Preservation Hall and the New York based Tangiers Blues Band with Danny Clinch at The Stone Pony.
