Below is the Allenhurst Police Blotter of crime reports from March 1 through 18:
MARCH 1
• Police responded to a minor two-vehicle crash along the boardwalk. No parties were injured and no summonses were issued. Ptl Eustace was the investigating officer.
• While checking a vacant house, a 20-year old Tinton Falls man was found parked at the back of the private driveway. He was taken into custody and charged with trespassing and possession of alcohol by person underage. He was also issued a borough summons for sleeping in a vehicle. He was processed and released, with a pending court date. Sgt. Rogers was the arresting officer.
MARCH 2
• A 63-year-old Sea Bright was charged with driving while suspended following a motor vehicle stop. He was processed and released on a summons, with a pending court date. His vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Ptl. Eustace was the arresting officer.
• A 26-year-old Jersey City man was charged with driving with a suspended license following a motor vehicle stop for a minor equipment violation. He was processed and released, with a pending court date. The vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Ptl. Eustace was the arresting officer.
MARCH 3
• After stopping a vehicle for an equipment and seatbelt violation, police arrested one of the passengers, a 23-year old Neptune woman, after she was found to have an active warrant out of Monmouth County Superior Court. She was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance [believed to be cocaine] and possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle. The K9 unit from Tinton Falls Police Department assisted at scene. The woman was processed, and released to Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office in default of bail. Ptl. Lipari was assisted by Capt. Schneider, and officers from Deal Police Department.
MARCH 5
• A 24-year-old Queens woman was charged with simple assault charge following a domestic violence investigation. She was processed and released on bail, with a pending court date. Ptl Burritt was assisted by Deal Police officers.
• A 50-year-old Asbury Park man was arrested on an outstanding Newark warrant following a motor vehicle stop. He was issued a summons for driving with a suspended registration. He was processed and released after posting bail, with a pending court date. Capt. Schneider was the arresting officer and was assisted by Ptl Lipari.
• A 25-year-old Asbury Park man was arrested on an active Eatontown traffic warrant following a motor vehicle stop. He was processed and released after posting bail. Capt. Schneider was the arresting officer.
• A 45-year-old Maryland man was charged with being an unlicensed driver [having never had a license] following a motor vehicle stop for an equipment violation. He was processed and released on two motor vehicle summons, with a pending court date. The vehicle keys were turned over to a properly licensed driver. PFC DiBona was the arresting officer.
MARCH 7
• A 57-year-old Asbury Park woman was charged with being an unlicensed driver [never having had a license] following a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation. She was also found to have suspended driver’s privileges and was processed and released on two summonses, with a pending court date. PFC DiBona was the arresting officer.
MARCH 8
• Police reported the smell of natural gas in the area of headquarters. The Allenhurst Fire Department and NJ Natural Gas Company responded. A small leak was found near the building’s gas meter and was repaired.
MARCH 10
• A 26-year-old Long Branch man was arrested on an active Ocean Township warrant following a motor vehicle stop. He was processed and released after posting bail. No local charges were filed. Ptl. Lipari was the arresting officer.
• A 30-year-old Long Branch woman was charged with being an unlicensed driver [never having had a license] following a motor vehicle stop for an equipment violation. She was processed and released on two summons, with a pending court date. Ptl. Burritt was the arresting officer.
MARCH 13
• Police responded to a report of a suspicious person, possibly trespassing, on a Cedar Avenue property. The subject was identified and the matter was determined to be more of a miscommunication than anything else. All parties were advised, while THE officer was on scene. Sgt. Rogers was the investigating officer.
MARCH 15
• A 36-year-old Asbury Park man was arrested on a Bayonne warrant after being stopped for walking along the train tracks with an unidentified person. He was processed and released after posting bail. Both subjects were charged on criminal complaints for trespassing and have a pending court date. Ptl. Rapolla was the arresting officer.
• A 21-year-old Asbury Park man was charged with criminal mischief after police investigated a reported domestic violence incident. The subject was processed and released after posting bail, with a pending court date. PFC DiBona was the arresting officer.
MARCH 16
• After responding to a report of a domestic violence related incident, police granted temporary restraining orders to both involved parties. A hearing is set in Family Court out of Freehold. Det. Lipari was the investigating officer.
MARCH 17
• Officers responded to a minor two-vehicle crash on Ocean Avenue. There were no reported injuries and no summons were issued. Ptl. Lipari was the investigating officer.
• Police responded to a report of a loose dog and found two dogs were involved in a scuffle. It was determined both dogs ere slightly injured. Patrolmen Lipari and Carafa responded.
• A 24-year-old Asbury Park man, found to be unlicensed [never having had a license] during a motor vehicle equipment violation, was issued two summons, with a pending court date. The registered owner of the vehicle was issued a summons for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a motor vehicle. Capt. Schneider was the arresting officer.
• A 36-year-old Neptune man was charged with driving while suspended after a motor vehicle stop. He was processed and released on a summons, with a pending court date. The vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Capt. Schneider was the arresting officer.
MARCH 18
• A 27-year-old Long Branch man was found to have an outstanding Long Branch during a motor vehicle stop. When officer detected the odor of marijuana, K9 Bia was deployed to do a sniff of the vehicle. That search led officers to a bag of marijuana, which was hidden behind the vehicle’s gas tank lid. He was processed and released on traffic and criminal summons, with a pending court date. Ptl. Carafa was assisted by Capt. Schneider.

From March 1 to 18, the Allenhurst Police Department also responded to three residential and commercial alarm calls; two noise related complaints; arrested four other individuals on various contempt of court warrants, one of which was transported to Monmouth County Jail in default of bail. The department also reports seven Borough Ordinance violations and eight instances of assisting another agency.
