Bradley Cove, Asbury Hotel, Carter Sackman's Savoy on agenda
The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to meet Wednesday in council chambers at City Hall.
A closed executive session will start at 5 p.m., followed by the regular council meeting at 7 p.m.
Public participation takes place at the beginning of the regular meeting. Items on the agenda include:
• Executive Session contract negotiation discussions regarding Carter Sackman’s Redevelopment Agreement for 607 Mattison Ave and their Savoy Theater Financial Agreement. The City Council also will discuss the Deputy Chief of Police Contract and attorney-client privileges.
• The Regular Meeting votes include special event applications, budgetary matters, the authorization of an online year-end tax sale and its costs, a CFO search, and grant application to the NJ DEP’s Flood Hazard Risk Reduction and Resiliency program fro Deal Lake Flood improvements.
• The governing body also will vote on the creation of a seasonal bike rack request program, application for open space funding for Bradley Cove, The Asbury hotel liquor license, and the award of the seasonal umbrella and beach chair rental concession.
• An agreement with Savoy will be introduced.
• The public will have the opportunity to ask question and provide statements prior to the vote to establish one way streets along Fifth Avenue east, between Webb Street and Ocean Avenue and Sunset Avenue west, between Ocean Avenue and Kingsley St.
• Final votes will also be made to establish bicycle, roller skates, and skateboard guidelines; the Springwood Avenue Redevelopment plan, and the appropriation of $127,561.80 bond for the improvements of municipal parks and buildings.
