The Asbury – showing signs of readiness
Asbury Park boutique hotel is set to open by May's end
The Asbury, the city’s first new hotel in over 50 years, is showing signs of readiness.
Due to open May 26, the 110-room boutique hotel at the former Salvation Army Building is nearing completion.
The Asbury is a collaboration between design veteran Anda Andrei, formerly with Ian Schrager Company, and hotel innovator David Bowd of Salt Hotels.
The Asbury represents a sense of fun and the eclectic spirit that embodies Asbury Park and what has made it such an iconic seaside town, the project professionals have said.
Located at 210 Fifth Avenue, the new vacation destination spot features 30,000 square feet of entertainment space comprised of two rooftops gardens, open lounges, a pool, and beer garden.
The rooms are being crafted to suit the needs of every conceivable traveler, with options ranging from bunk rooms that sleep up to eight to private suites with king and queen sized beds.
Only 90 minutes from New York City and Philadelphia, the hotel’s aim is to offer a unique experience and new alternative for urban weekenders, according to written news statement.
The venue was to designed also as a social social hub for locals.
Its Soundbooth, a casual lobby bar, features pinball machines and Ping-Pong tables.
The Salvation is a rooftop bar with ocean views, while the Baronet roof garden offers a theater/concert space.
And, the Asbury Hall and Lawn is a 4,800-square-foot flex indoor and outdoor event space.
Room rates start at $125 per night and bookings are available online via The Asbury’s homepage or email: info@theasburyhotel.com.
