Summer Experience Program seeks applicants for The Crew team
Three days remain for summer job registration at Kula Café
Looking for a part-time summer job and interested in working along Asbury Park’s waterfront, then iStar may have just the post for you.
The waterfront redeveloper’s Summer Experience work development program launched a registration signup campaign Thursday for those interested in becoming a member of the Crew.
Interested job seekers have three days left to register their interest at Kula Café on Springwood Avenue. The registration continues 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday and also will be held next Thursday and Friday, according to a written statement.
“Asbury Park Waterfront will be commencing its summer program soon,” the written statement said. “The Crew member contributes to the success of Asbury Park Waterfront Summer Experience by assisting in the operations of the amenity spaces and in the delivery of activities and events.”
The Summer Experience began in 2013. Its Crew is comprised seasonal employees who help manage guest relations along the waterfront.
According to the written statement the job responsibilities include:
- Executes all daily activities related to guests at the Information Center. • Ensure a welcoming environment at the Amenity spaces to all guests. • Assist in the set up and break down of activities and events in the Information Center. • Greet and check in guests at the Information Center. • Participate in community events and activities. • Must be able to work outdoors during the summer months and be on your feet. • Follow all operational policies and procedures to ensure safety for all. • Contribute to a positive team environment. • Act in accordance with all company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
Applicants should be:
- Outgoing, friendly with a can do attitude and high energy. • A team player. • Dedicated to exceeding the expectations and requirements of guests. • Able to work weekends.
The jobs commence on May 23 with an $11 per hour rate of pay.
