Waterfront Area Road Closures Kick Off Monday

Paving and Striping work limits travel next week thru Thursday

The Asbury Park Police Department has issued a travel advisory that outlines restrictions along city roads from Monday through Thursday, next week.

The restrictions are in place to allow for paving and striping of Kingsley Street, Fourth and Fifth Avenues near the waterfront.

Officials warn to expect delays, plan alternate travel routes and parking, and to use caution if traveling near the noted areas at the following times:

Monday: Kingsley Street Paving will occur from Third to Sunset avenues

Tuesday: Kingsley Street Final Striping will occur between Third and Sunset avenues until 4 p.m.; Fourth Avenue Paving from Kingsley to Bergh will occur from 4 p.m. to midnight

Wednesday: Fourth Avenue Striping will occur until 4 p.m.; Fifth Avenue Paving from Kingsley to Bergh streets will occur between 4 p.m. and  midnight; Bergh Street Paving from Fourth to Fifth avenues will done from 4 p.m. to midnight.

Thursday: Fifth Avenue and Bergh Street Striping until 4 p.m.
