Amboy Bank Burglar caught inside Route 35 building
Twp resident remanded to Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail
A township resident was arrested early Wednesday morning after police found him hiding inside the closed Amboy Bank on Route 35, according to a news release from Ocean Township Police Department spokesman Det. Lt. Timothy R. Torchia.
Jonathan Lyle, 26, was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools.

At approximately 2:42 a.m. police received a call regarding a burglar alarm at the Amboy Bank located on Highway 35 south. Officers Kyle Kane and Greg Martone along with Sgt. Dimitrios Kelesidis arrived at the bank and observed that the glass front door had been broken out and entry had been made. They subsequently checked the interior of the bank and found a male subject, later identified as Jonathan Lyle, hiding inside. He was immediately placed under arrest and transported back to the station for processing.
Lyle was remanded to Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash only bail set by Judge Timothy McGoughran.
