The Asbury Park City Council is scheduled to hold a workshop meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in council chambers at City Hall, located at 1 Municipal Plaza.

A public participation session is scheduled to take place near the end of the meeting, after comments from city officials.

• Items on the agenda for the meeting include special event requests as follows:

• The Grand opening ceremony for t he Springwood Avenue Park from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.

• Other special event requests include: The Community Worship Experience and Fair, JRSC Race Against Hunger, volleyball tournament, Bangs Ave Block Party, Thanks4giving Plunge, Krampus 2016, and Asbury Park Beach weddings.

• Madison Marquette will seek subsequent developer’s agreement for its Glamping proposal. Combining the amenities of a hotel with the camping experience, Glamping tents are proposed for the southern portion of the Carousel building at the start of the boardwalk near its Ocean Grove entrance.

• The City Council will review items on its regular session Wednesday meeting prior to discussing city matters.
