The Monday night Facebook post of Asbury Park Police Officer Craig Breiner has gone viral with over 35K views and counting.
A reflection that perhaps what the world really does need now is love, Breiner’s impromptu dance with attendees at the free Monday night Levitt AMP Asbury Park Music Series at Springwood Park quickly elicited the response of over 400 shares and 60 comments.

“That police officer is showing respect,” Facebook poster Drake Sintic said. “And also letting you know that Police officers are human even though the media only show cases the worst incidents ! The fine police work outnumbers the bad 1 million to one ! Give these officers A break!!!”
In its posting, concert administrators from The Asbury Park Music Foundation said, “Thank you Officer Breiner of the Asbury Park Police Department for helping us shine a positive light on our city and the men and women of public safety.”
During the featured performers Dr. Cheeko and Random Test’s rendition of Bob Marley’s “Could You Be Love” Breiner began to dance to sing and dance with some of the city’s most innocent who ran up to join him.
Springwood Park is the city’s first public park on the west side. Construction was completed just over one month and a half ago, with a grand opening ceremony held on June 18.
